This is an actual character sheet from around 1986 for the original Egcweald Windbearn. He started to morph a little around this point. As you can see, he's got the ability to turn undead. This was an experiment in which Egcweald was becoming a cleric to his goddess, Gau (goddess of nature, vice and passions. I was 16, I had things besides D&D on my mind!)

Interesting to note Egcweald's one magic item: +1 chain, that's it. Jim rarely gave out magic, and as Egcweald primarily used a bastard sword, there wasn't much else he could use. As I recall, by the end of our time together he also had a Ring of Warmth, but that was it. Jim did allow me to commission, at great expense, a silver-plated version of my bastard sword that I could use to hit creatures at later levels that normally required magic weapons.
Egcweald-2 The original Egcweald (back). Primarily devoted to Sir Cuddles, I'd completely forgotten he had other pets as well. This was the monk with Speak with Animals who trained Egcweald and Cuddles, so Shaagift came to Egcweald very highly trained and domesticated. There was also Billy the Goat, who was a goat, but I cannot for the life of me remember the circumstances he made his way into the story.
Egcweald-3 Egweald II (front). I don't recall what this character was from. But, we see the trend of his moving to a fighter who relies on footwork, rather than strength due to the dual-classing fighter with thief. Egcweald-9 Egcweald V (front). Wow, this one's quite unique! A first level Barbarian with "Raging Bear" martial arts style! I really wish I could recall what game THIS was for! Egcweald-10 Egcweald V (back). Hmmm...this one seems to be sans-a-bear. Date: 03/01/2012 Egcweald V (back). Hmmm...this one seems to be sans-a-bear.
