Luckfudge-1
Sir Luckfudge Black (front). Yes, you read that right, his name was Luckfudge. As I recall, his name came about when my cousin Joe was rolling the character up. He had rolled, I think, a 3 for one of his abilities and I told him he could re-roll. One of them made the comment "Boy, it's lucky he let that roll be fudged!" From there, somehow, his name appeared.
Luckfudge was a Paladin, with a capital "P". My cousin knew I took his playing that class very seriously and would brook no wavering from the paladin's knightly code. There would be no "hey, let's have the paladin look over there while we pull this orc's tongue out" going on in my games, and I rarely had to tell Joe his character was on the verge of doing something he shouldn't.
I've only played with a couple of paladins in any campaign, and Joe was the only one who did it up right. Luckfudge was honest, forthright, brave and honorable. Joe always got a lot of grief for how he played him, but if the party ever had to split up...everyone ALWAYS wanted to be in the group with the paladin!
